Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted November 5, 2019 Journalists Share Posted November 5, 2019 Four stallions make up the 2020 Haras d’Etreham Flat roster, led by Wootton Bassett (GB) (Iffraaj {GB}) at €40,000, Jour de Galop reported on Tuesday. His son, Cartier champion sophomore colt Almanzor (Fr), commands €35,000 and has his first weanlings this year. The rest of the Flat roster is made up of new shooter MGSW & MG1SP City Light (Fr) (Siyouni {Fr}-Light Saber {Fr}, by Kendor {Fr}) at €7,000 and reverse shuttler, GSW & G1SP Scissor Kick (Aus) (Redoute’s Choice {Aus}) is at €5,000. D’Etreham’s Nicolas de Chambure told Jour de Galop, “After being full the last three seasons at €20,000 and then €40,000, Wootton Bassett should continue to progress as a stallion, especially as his progeny have show real ability to progress from two to three. Almanzor has already covered more than 40 Group 1 performers or producers. Indeed, the dam of Uni (GB) (More Than Ready) and that of Itsinthepost (Fr) (American Post {GB}) both gave birth to Almanzor colts in 2019.” He added, “The syndication [of City Light] went well and City Light will receive tremendous support from his shareholders. He’s a healthy horse with a good physique and a lot of quality. The first juveniles of Scissor Kick start in 2020. We are delighted with his production of very athletic yearlings, with substance and bone.” The post Haras d’Etreham Reveals 2020 Fees appeared first on TDN | Thoroughbred Daily News | Horse Racing News, Results and Video | Thoroughbred Breeding and Auctions.
