Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted November 6, 2019 Journalists Share Posted November 6, 2019 G1SW and sire Le Havre (Ire) (Noverre), whose Villa Marina (GB) captured the G1 Prix de l’Opera in 2019, will stand at an increased fee of €50,000 in 2020, Haras de Montfort et Preaux announced on Wednesday. The 13-year-old, who won the 2009 G1 Prix du Jockey Club has 13 black-type winners and just shy of $6 million in earnings this year. He is joined by G3 Acomb S. hero Recorder (GB) (Galileo {Ire}), who will command €5,000. The latter has first yearlings in 2020. “Le Havre is having a great year in 2019 thanks to seven Group 1 performers including G1 Prix de l’Opéra winner Villa Marina (GB) on Arc day,” said Mathieu Alex of Montfort & Preaux. “His yearlings proved very popular with three sold for more than €500 000 and averaged €200,000. Recorder has been very popular since retiring to us in 2018. This good-looking son of champion sire Galileo was a very talented and precocious 2-year-old and we are absolutely delighted with his first foals born this year. They have strength, scope and a great attitude.” The post Le Havre Increased to €50K at Montfort et Preaux appeared first on TDN | Thoroughbred Daily News | Horse Racing News, Results and Video | Thoroughbred Breeding and Auctions.
