Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted November 7, 2019 Journalists Share Posted November 7, 2019 Vino Rosso (Curlin), last Saturday’s GI Breeders’ Cup Classic hero, has arrived at B. Wayne Hughes’ Spendthrift Farm in Lexington, Ky to take up residence for his next career as a stallion. The MGISW is set to be unveiled to the public for the first time at Spendthrift Friday, Nov. 8 from 1-3pm. Coal Front (Stay Thirsty), the five-time graded stakes-winning millionaire, has also arrived and will be available for inspection. “Vino Rosso and Coal Front both came to the farm in great shape, and we’re extremely excited to be able to show them to breeders starting Friday afternoon from 1-3,” said Ned Toffey, Spendthrift general manager. “It’s not every day youget to stand a Breeders’ Cup Classic winner, especially one that’s as well-bred and as good looking as Vino Rosso. And you would be hard pressed to find many stallions better looking than Coal Front, who is the newest horse being offered through our ShareThe Upside program. We think people are going to like what they see with both.” Vino Rosso, an earner of $4,803,125 on the track, will stand his first season in 2020 for a fee of $30,000 S&N. Coal Front, who earned $1,825,280, will stand for $5,000 S&N and will be offered at $7,500 S&N through Spendthrift’s renowned “Share The Upside” program.
