Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted November 7, 2019 Journalists Share Posted November 7, 2019 American Doug Watson became the first trainer to win six races and claim an entire card at Meydan in Dubai on Thursday evening. Watson send out maiden Rio Angie (Honor Code) in a ‘TDN Rising Star’-worthy performance in the first, followed by Trenchard (Elusive Quality) (second), Mulfit (Exchange Rate) (third), Waady (Ire) (Approve {Ire}) (fourth), Tried And True (Medaglia d’Oro) (fifth) and Midnight Sands (Speightstown) (sixth). Pat Dobbs was aboard all bar handicap victor Waady, who was ridden by Dane O’Neill. “We looked at it on paper this morning and we had a couple horses we knew were going to run really well,” Watson said. “It’s just an unbelievable feeling. We have such a great team at home and a lot of these horses have been training well. It’s a sweet feeling and it’s more for the yard and [jockey] Pat [Dobbs] did an amazing job, too.” The post Watson Sweeps Meydan Card appeared first on TDN | Thoroughbred Daily News | Horse Racing News, Results and Video | Thoroughbred Breeding and Auctions.
