Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted November 13, 2019 Journalists Share Posted November 13, 2019 Dandy Man (Ire), whose flagbearers on the track in 2019 included Group 3 winners Dandhu (GB), Dr Simpson (Fr), River Boyne (Ire) and the ill-fated former Group 1 winner Lady Kaya (Ire), will command a career-high fee of €15,000 at Ballyhane Stud in 2020, Racing Post reports. Ballyhane introduces Soldier’s Call (Ire), a Group 2 and Royal Ascot-winning 2-year-old by Showcasing (GB) who was multiple Group 1-placed in sprint company, for €10,000. “We’ve had a very good response to the news of Soldier’s Call’s arrival and he’s been very popular with breeders,” Ballyhane’s Joe Foley told Racing Post. “He’s an exciting prospect and breeders are loving him and have already booked some beautiful mares into him.” Ballyhane’s roster is completed by the proven Elzaam (Aus) and Prince of Lir (Ire), whose first crop is two next year, both at €4,000. “We’re keen to price these horses realistically for the current market to give breeders every chance of doing good business with Ballyhane stallions,” Foley said.
