SARGASSO SEA (GB) (Sea the Stars {Ire}) was a €520,000 Arqana May Breeze-Up graduate–making her the sixth highest-priced juvenile at that auction–who debuts for Bermuda Thoroughbred Racing and the William Haggas stable. A full-sister to the Group 3 scorer Star Storm (Ire) whose second dam is the high-class Sayyedati (GB) (Shadeed), the chestnut encounters Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s similarly-unraced Montather (Ire) (Dubawi {Ire}), a Roger Varian-trained relative of another past luminary in Shadayid.
6.00 Chelmsford, Novice, £7,800, 2yo, f, 7f (AWT)
CLINICIAN (GB) (Kingman {GB}) debuts for Cheveley Park Stud and Sir Michael Stoute and is a daughter of the talented Group 3 winner Clinical (GB) (Motivator {GB}) who has already produced a black-type performer in the G1 National S. third Lockheed (GB) (Exceed and Excel {Aus}). The dam, who was a listed winner on the Polytrack, hails from the family of the G3 Horris Hill S. scorer Cupid’s Glory (GB) (Pursuit of Love {GB}).
