After racing Thursday through Sunday in October and November, Laurel will race Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays for the duration of the fall meet, which concludes Sunday, Dec. 29. Laurel Park will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday, Dec. 24 and 25, for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, and present a special program Dec. 26. Friday’s Rainbow 6 has a carryover of $9,125.32. First-race post time is 12:25 p.m. Among highlights, Saturday, Dec. 7 is Maryland Spectacular Day at Laurel Park featuring four stakes for Maryland-bred/sired horses worth $350,000 in purses, the Maryland Juvenile Futurity and Maryland Juvenile Filly Championship, both at seven furlongs; and the Howard & Sondra Bender Memorial for 3-year-olds and up and the Politely S. for fillies and mares 3 and older, each at six furlongs.
