Reports in The Australian have revealed Chris Waller’s racing heroine is in foal for the first time to leading sire I Am Invincible. The news is expected to be announced by connections early next week, with the foal likely to be delivered in mid-to-late October of 2020. The report suggests it took three attempts for Winx to be impregnated, however the foetus is expected to pass the standard 45-day mark this weekend. Winx won an unmatched 25 Group Is and a record breaking four Cox Plates during a storied racing career that captured the attention of the racing world. She retired in April this year with her 33rd consecutive victory and third consecutive Group I Queen Elizabeth Stakes (2000m), with more than $26 million in prizemoney. I Am Invincible was announced as the daughter of Street Cry’s perfect match in the breeding barn in late August.
