Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted December 8, 2019 Journalists Share Posted December 8, 2019 Japanese horses have dominated the Hong Kong International meeting at Sha Tin winning three of the four Group One races. Glory Vase took out Sunday’s Hong Kong Vase (2400m), Admire Mars the Mile and Wing Bright the Cup (2000m). The John Size-trained local beat The Clock claimed the Sprint (1200m) in which the raging favourite Aethero could only manage third. The Japanese success comes shortly after wins in Australia by Mer De Glace in the Caulfield Cup and Lys Gracieux in the Cox Plate. The Sprint was run without Australian Group One-winning mare In Her time who was ruled out on race morning with a hoof injury. Hong Kong-based Joao Moreira rode five winners on the program including two of the Group One races, the Vase and the Sprint. Sydney jockey Hugh Bowman was fourth in the Sprint on Mr Stunning and fourth in the Cup on Furore. The post Japan dominates HK International day appeared first on BOAY Racing News.
