Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted December 9, 2019 Journalists Share Posted December 9, 2019 Versatile eight-time winner Fiesole (GB) (Montjeu {Ire}) (lot 107) topped the one-day Tattersalls Ascot December Sale at €35,000 to Oliver Murphy Racing. The 7-year-old gelding, whose wins are divided evenly between the Flat and hurdles, was consigned by Warren Chase Stables. His dam Forgotten Dreams (Ire) (Olden Times {GB}) is a half-sister to Italian champion Zomaradah (GB) (Deploy {GB}), herself the dam of champion and successful sire Dubawi (Ire) (Dubai Millennium {GB}). Overall, 87 horses sold (62%) from 139 offered for a gross of £371,500. The average was £4,270 (-27%) and the median was £2,100 (-34.4%). “There was good demand for horses boasting form at the final sale of 2019 in the Tattersalls Ascot Sales Ring,” said Matt Prior, Head of Tattersalls Ascot Sales. “Today’s sale concluded a very productive year for Tattersalls Ascot with the turnover of £6,879,450 finishing as the best on record for the venue.
