Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted December 12, 2019 Journalists Share Posted December 12, 2019 Prince Khalid Abdullah’s dual G1 Qatar Prix de l’Arc heroine Enable (GB) (Nathaniel {Ire}) captured her third consecutive Racehorse Owners Association Horse of the Year Award at the ROA Awards at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London on Thursday evening. The Juddmonte colourbearer also won the Outstanding Filly/Mare Award and Outstanding Middle Distance horse. She won the same trio of prizes in 2018 and 2017. Trained by the 2019 ROA Outstanding Trainer John Gosden who won his fourth such title this year, the bay captured the G1 Coral-Eclipse, G1 King Georve VI and Queen Elizabeth QIPCO S. and G1 Yorkshire Oaks before running a close second in the Arc. The winners are decided by votes from the 7,900 members of the ROA. Gosden also saddled Bjorn Nielsen’s Stradivarius (Ire) (Sea The Stars {Ire}) to win the Outstanding Stayer title-he also won in 2018–and Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber’s 2018 Outstanding Juvenile Too Darn Hot (GB) (Dubawi {Ire}) to take the Outstanding Miler award. Godolphin’s Pinatubo (Ire) (Shamardal) won the Outstanding Juvenile Award, while Shadwell’s Battaash (Ire) (Dark Angel {Ire}) was voted Outstanding Sprinter. Kachy (GB) (Kyllachy {GB}) was named the Outstanding All-Weather Horse.
