Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted December 31, 2019 Journalists Share Posted December 31, 2019 Yulong Investments has purchased a controlling interest in former Ballydoyle representatives Norway (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}) and Blenheim Palace (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}), with the pair of newly-turned 4-year-olds set to race on in Australia with trainer Chris Waller, Racing.com reports. Norway won the Listed Zetland S. at two and was third in the G1 Irish Derby and G2 Great Voltigeur S. before taking the G3 Paddy Power Betting Shop S. at Leopardstown on Sept. 14. Blenheim Palace broke his maiden in April of 2019 and was third behind Norway at Leopardstown-one of three pattern placings this season-before winning Dundalk’s G3 Diamond S. over 2000 metres two weeks later. Both colts have important sire siblings: Norway’s half-brother Duke of Marmalade (Ire) (Danehill) has been an important sire in Europe and now stands in South Africa, while his Derby-winning full-brother Ruler of the World (Ire) provided the multiple Group 1 winner Iridessa (Ire) in his first crop and stands his debut season in France next year. Blenheim Palace is a full-brother to dual Guineas winner and two-time Group 1-winning juvenile Churchill (Ire), who has his first yearlings this year.
