British Idiom (Flashback–Rose and Shine, by Mr. Sekiguchi) was a perfect three-for-three this season, earning her the Eclipse Award for top juvenile filly. The $40,000 FTKOCT’s season was highlighted by wins in the GI Darley Alcibiades S. and GI Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies. Trained by Brad Cox, she is owned by Michael Dubb, The Elkstone Group, Madaket Stables & Bethlehem Stables. The chestnut will look to kick off 2020 in the GII Rachel Alexandra S. at the Fair Grounds.

The 2-year-old male division was the most wide open this year, but Storm the Court (c, Court Vision–My Tejana Storm, by Tejano Run) takes home the Eclipse following his 45-1 upset in the GI Breeders’ Cup Juvenile. A $5,000 FTKFEB yearling turned $60,000 OBSAPR juvenile, the bay is trained by Peter Eurton and owned by Exline-Border Racing, David Bersen, Susanna Wilson and Dan Hudock.

Just before the winners of the juvenile categories were announced, Kazushi Kimura was named outstanding apprentice jockey with 148 wins and earnings of $4,746,556 in 2019.
