Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted February 1, 2020 Journalists Share Posted February 1, 2020 Having won her first two starts by a combined 18 3/4 lengths, including a towering 11 1/4-length tally in the Letellier Memorial S. through the Fair Grounds slop Dec. 21, Juddmonte Farms’ ‘TDN Rising Star’ TARAZ (f, 3, Into Mischief–Silk Route, by Empire Maker) never looked like losing her two-turn debut in Saturday’s Martha Washington S. at Oaklawn, crossing the line four lengths better than O Seraphina (Congrats). Kicked immediately into the lead by Florent Geroux, Taraz raced a bit keenly early on, covering the half-mile in :47.50. A bit more settled in the third quarter of a mile, she had a kick off the final corner and won the race to the wire of the short-stretch mile to score comfortably. Lifetime Record: 3-3-0-0. O/B-Juddmonte Farms (KY); T-Brad Cox.
