Ashley Posted February 14, 2020 Author Posted February 14, 2020 Avondale Cup? Is the trainer a complete retard? There are lots of maidens rated higher than this horse and it should not even be allowed in the race where it could endanger other horses and riders. Quote
Thomass Posted February 14, 2020 Posted February 14, 2020 You're right of course... This problem occurs mainly with owner/trainers...they're basically in love...and think a completely out of form horse can match any other... A couple of years ago an owner/trainer from HB started his 2 maidens in a mid weak on his HB course...ran last and 2nd last... 2 Days later he travelled both to a Premier Maiden at HQ and of course both ran ingloriously..tailed well off... The RIU had required a vet inspection..which didn't include bloods...just a wee look Simply not good enough in this day and age.... NZTR should retain the right to withdraw horses deemed totally outclassed... And naturally they can cause mayhem if racing handy and drifting quickly out on a rail position.... Quote

So can any horse that stops suddenly from that position. What makes you think this one is likely to do that? Quote
Thomass Posted February 14, 2020 Posted February 14, 2020 Out of form out of class neddys are more likely...especially handy positioned neddys as stated... How often is a Derby/Oaks race, with maximum numbers, destroyed by an out of form Maiden trolling back through the field... It only takes one Owner/Trainer, in love and out of touch, to destroy a Black Type contest Quote

There are two possible forrmline comments for Gabriel after today. 1. Settld midfield, drifted out. Tailed off. Last or 2. Settled last, soon tailed off. Last. Hopefully its number 2 and it stays away from the good horses and the RIU gives the trainer a warning to improve the horses racing performance and his own intelligence. Quote
Fred Posted March 21, 2020 Posted March 21, 2020 Fair bit of splattered egg around -after the improved run last week I got on today. 1 Quote
curious Posted March 21, 2020 Posted March 21, 2020 Yeahhh .... some seem to know more than the horses and trainers do eh? 1 Quote
