Mischevious Alex (c, 3, Into Mischief–White Pants Night, by Speightstown) ran to the money as the 8-5 favorite in Saturday’s GIII Gotham S. at the Big A.

He raced three deep as they bunched up early through a :23.54 opening quarter. He made his move to gain a narrow advantage rounding the far turn and drove clear in the stretch en route to a 2 1/2-length decision over Untitled (Khozan). Attachment Rate (Had Spun) was third.

The final time for the one-mile Gotham was 1:38.80.

Mischevious Alex entered off two runaway victories since adding blinkers, led by an impressive score in Gulfstream’s GIII Swale S. Feb. 1.
