I will go with Outwork as my top freshman sire. He won at 4 1/2 furlongs in April of his 2-year-old year and is by Uncle Mo, who has proven to be a very prolific 2-year-old sire. I have seen a lot of quality from Outwork’s first crop.

I bought three fillies by him at the yearling sales. The nicest filly we’ve ever had in four years of pinhooking with Paul Sharp is an Outwork filly out of Starship Warpspeed, a half to recent Grade III winner Shedaresthedevil (Daredevil). She makes me want to love the sire.

All of ours seem to be very forward and looking to do more at this stage, but also very classy walking to and from the track and while being handled in the barn. Mentally, they seem to be able to handle the early rigors asked of 2-year-olds with speed and they have the talent to go along with it.

Tamarkuz could be an under-the-radar sire to watch. He is by the super-hot Speightstown, who has proven to be a sire of sires already. I liked several of them at the sales and have heard good things from a few 2-year-old consignors. I expect them to be quick and early.SO
