Seizing the early advantage, the bay coasted along through a :23.56 first quarter and :48 flat half-mile. Longshot NY Traffic (Cross Traffic) turned up the pressure a little bit through three-quarters in 1:12.42, but Wells Bayou kept on finding in the lane, cruising clear of the foe to score by two lengths. A debut winner sprinting in the slop at Keeneland Oct. 26, Wells Bayou was off the board next out at Churchill Nov. 30 and won next out at Oaklawn Jan. 26.
