Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted April 17, 2020 Journalists Share Posted April 17, 2020 Jockey Jamie Spencer may require hip surgery after being taken to hospital following a training mishap on Friday, Racing Post reports. Spencer was aboard a David Simcock-trained horse when the horse slipped and fell. “It was one of those unfortunate things,” Simcock told Racing Post. “A horse was walking along and slipped. It looked a very innocuous fall–my wife saw it happen and she said it was like slow motion–but he landed all wrong. We’re so conscious of horses getting fresh and this happened after exercise and he couldn’t have been quieter. Jamie has injured his hip and he may have to have a little bit of surgery. He was in a lot of pain but he was always in good spirits.” The post Spencer Injured In Training Accident appeared first on TDN | Thoroughbred Daily News | Horse Racing News, Results and Video | Thoroughbred Breeding and Auctions.
