Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted April 27, 2020 Journalists Share Posted April 27, 2020 Racing Queensland is confident there will be no problems with the newly renovated Ipswich track for coming meetings after jockeys complained about a section of the track. Ipswich hosted its third meeting back on Sunday after closing for five months for a multi-million dollar course-proper upgrade. After race six some riders expressed concern about a section of the course proper but stewards allowed the meeting to proceed after some remedial work was undertaken. An RQ spokesperson said they were confident there would be no disruption to future Ipswich meetings. “Racing Queensland was alerted to a minor issue at the 1100 metre mark at Bundamba at the weekend following recent irrigation and drainage works,” the spokesperson said. “After having inspected the track, racing will continue next Monday with the rail moving out to allow remediation to occur. “The rail is expected to return to the true position by the end of May.” The post RQ confident racing will go on at Ipswich appeared first on BOAY Racing News.
