Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted May 25, 2018 Journalists Share Posted May 25, 2018 Trainer Wesley Ward sent out a team of Royal Ascot-targeted runners over Keeneland’s turf course Friday morning. Leading the fray was Stonestreet Stables and Peter Leidel’s European champion Lady Aurelia (Scat Daddy), who triumphed in the G2 Queen Mary S. and G1 King’s Stand S. at the Royal meeting in 2016 and 2017, respectively. “I can’t wait to go,” said Ward, who has accounted for nine wins at Royal Ascot. With Julio Garcia aboard, the four-year-old covered five furlongs in 1:00.40 over the firm turf. Working several lengths behind Lady Aurelia was Ken and Sarah Ramsey’s Hemp Hemp Hurray (Artie Schiller), who negotiated the same distance in 1:01.
