Today’s Observations features the first juvenile runners of the season for Godolphin.

2.25 Newmarket, Mdn, £5,400, 2yo, 6fT
MAGICAL LAND (IRE) (Frankel {GB}) is the first Godolphin juvenile runner of 2020 from the Charlie Appleby stable and is due to start favourite with the G2 Coventry S. looming. Out of a listed-winning daughter of the G2 Cherry Hinton S. scorer Misheer (GB) (Oasis Dream {GB}), the February-foaled bay has some precocity and speed on the dam’s side to mix with the stamina that Frankel is imparting.

3.00 Newmarket, Mdn, £5,400, 2yo, 6fT
CREATIVE FORCE (IRE) (Dubawi {Ire}) is the second Godolphin 2-year-old representative on this fascinating card and another likely favourite on the forecast. Again with Charlie Appleby, the €400,000 Goffs Orby purchase is a half-brother to the G1 Queen Elizabeth II S. heroine Persuasive (Ire) (Dark Angel {Ire}) who meets 10 others on this initial foray.

3.35 Newmarket, Mdn, £6,400, 2yo, f, 6fT
SKY ANGEL (IRE) (Dark Angel {Ire}) is the third of the Appleby eyecatchers, being an €800,000 Godolphin purchase at the Arqana Deauville August Sale, where she was the second highest-priced filly. Out of the G3 Prix Allez France scorer Mayhem (Ire) (Whipper), the April-foaled bay hails from the excellent Kilfrush Stud family of Cerulean Sky (Ire) (Darshaan {GB}).
