Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted June 6, 2020 Journalists Share Posted June 6, 2020 Making his 4-year-old debut as the 6-5 favorite, W.S. Farish’s reigning GI Runhappy Travers S. hero CODE OF HONOR (c, 4, Noble Mission {GB}–Reunited, by Dixie Union) was the recipient of a cool ride from John Velazquez and took over a sixteenth of a mile out en route to a half-length defeat of the enterprisingly ridden Endorsed (Medaglia d’Oro) in Saturday’s GIII Westchester S. at a soggy Belmont Park. Drawn widest in the field of nine, the homebred settled slightly worse than midfield and was kept in the clear as Endorsed made an aggressive mid-race move beneath Joel Rosario to assume command at halfway. Code of Honor began to hit his best stride three furlongs from home and had Endorsed to catch, but had lost significant ground on the turn. But keeping to his task, the chestnut gradually reeled in Endorsed and edged clear late. Lifetime Record: 11-6-2-1. O/B-W S Farish (KY); T-Shug McGaughey.
