The #styledwiththanks charity appeal campaign, in recognition of those working on the frontline of the global COVID-19 crisis, was launched by Ascot Racecourse on Monday. The racecourse donated £100,000 to be split between four frontline charities: The NationalEmergencies Trust Relief Fund, NHS Charities Together, The Care Workers Charity and the Berkshire Community Foundation Coronavirus Fund.

As Royal Ascot on June 16-20 will be held behind closed doors, fans across the globe are invited to dress up as part of ‘Royal Ascot at Home’ campaign and wear racing hats, take a photo and share on social media using the campaign hashtags #StyledWithThanks and #RoyalAscot. Prizes will be given for the most Elegant, Original and Uplifting outfits, while there will be a permanent photo mosaic of the photos installed at Ascot Racecourse. Racing hats designed by British milliners will be auctioned during Royal Ascot, in partnership with the British Hat Guild and the proceeds donated to the fund, as well. £5 donations are encouraged, and for more information on the campaign and Royal Ascot at Home, visit www.ascot.co.uk/styledwiththanks.

“In this unique year, our thoughts are with those that have been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic and of course the NHS and key workers who are playing such a heroic role,” said Ascot Racecourse Chief Executive Guy Henderson. “We are marking this year’s Royal Meeting with our #StyledWithThanks initiative so that people can combine the enjoyment of participating in the event from their homes with their own thanks and contribution to the fundraising campaign.”
