Khalid Abdullah’s unbeaten G1 Phoenix S. hero Siskin (First Defence) was allocated a low-number stall and will exit the two gate after a final field of 11 was declared for Friday evening’s €250,000 G1 Irish 2000 Guineas at The Curragh. Aidan O’Brien is responsible for over half of the field and his half-dozen runners includes Siskin’s old foe and ‘TDN Rising Star’ Monarch of Egypt (American Pharoah) and Armory (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}), who placed three times at the highest level last year.
