Raven’s Pass’s Lemista Takes the Kilboy Estate

Peter Brant’s colours were being carried for the first time by Lemista (Ire) (Raven’s Pass) and the Ger Lyons trainee upheld her side of the bargain by winning Sunday’s G2 Kilboy Estate S. at The Curragh. Having beaten Saturday’s G1 Irish Oaks heroine Even So (Ire) (Camelot {GB}) when winning the G3 Park Express S. over a mile at Naas Mar. 23 before adding Gowran Park’s Listed Victor McCalmont Memorial S. to her tally over an extended nine furlongs June 19, the 3-1 second favourite was patiently-ridden towards the rear by Colin Keane and delivered with perfect timing to overhaul Lovelier (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}) in the final furlong en route to 3/4-of-a-length success from that rival, with Kiss For a Jewel (Ire) (Kingman {GB}) half a length behind in third.
