The March-foaled bay was slightly sluggish at the break and tanked forward from a position in rear to go third at halfway. Coming under pressure with three furlongs remaining, the 15-8 chalk was driven along to challenge passing the eighth pole and ridden out on the climb to withstand the late charge of 50-1 poke Dinoo (Ire) (Starspangledbanner {Aus}) by a neck.
