Ok Thomass, since you have knowledge about the leaders bias at Te Rapa now, Please tell us all who is going to lead and why in race 5 tomorrow.

I have an idea who might down to about the nearest 3-4, but you tell us who it is please.

I Quoted the 'experts' Bazza...

..don't recall the rail being so far out at 15M...Youd know more about the bias out there by the old chippy stand

Im picking between the 12 and 15 is where the shit load of sand was downloaded and left to nature...

So taking a wild stab...as all Punters will be without the width readings...

Itll have a leaders bias on the rail....best

Quite right Thommo. I leave it up to the trainers to apply the gear that will help the horse run to its best in the same way I leave it to them to decide what work to give it on Tuesday morning and what to add to the feed on Friday night. You'd probably want that info as well I imagine.

Is the quotient better for blinkers on, or blinkers off in maiden races ?

What a damn pitty you didn't leave it up to Baffert to decide if his neddy was OTT curious...

...I hope you didn't get "layed all day"...by now you'll be wanting a good rub over and a wee soak in the tub?

Yeahh.... I wouldn't second guess Baffert ...lol.

More seriously, with Audible out, I like Hofburg and Gronkowski.

I did leave it to Baffert of course, as I said I would. I note that I also correctly named the two most likely to beat him, including the second horse which was 69/1 at the time. Of course you'd have been on to that because of the trainers first time lasix strike rate of 25% I guess. Is that better than first time blinkers?

So Shorn Treweak gets the big "valuable track information coming up next" from Tan on Saturday morning...

Shorn seemed as confused as a blind dog caught in headlights

"oh yea definitely different this meeting from the last...outside...that's where...and probably all over the track actually...yea across the width"

ffs...nek minute they're winning on the rail...just like last meeting

Just give us the entire width pen. Readings Shorn...

...and let Punters decide...

..after all it's their judgement and their MONEY FFS

I wonder why they don't listen to you. You abuse them, make juvenile comments - and expect things to change. Just another one of your ideas that will make no difference to NZ racing revenue.

Actually I've been far too mellow in the old age..

When Bittar came on board I asked him if he was running a secret society when the previous NZTR had refused to provide info on even the most basic gear...

winkers...on a G 2 winner...he felt that was an unfair statement

nek Minute gear all over the place reported...

Its inconceivable they provide a reading...to 4.5M...

...when they start the meeting running down the 6M and further strip...

Nothing kills betting more than a lack of confidence in the 'official' information..

..which was patently wrong...

btw...do you go to bed reciting the 'revenue' song...hasn't  your brain got tired of being a wanker by now?

Of course Thomass, 80% of all races are won by horses on the pace.

Now again please tell me which horse is going to be leading so I can back it. Surely with such a bias you can eliminate 90% of the field as no chance.

Gee I was wrong again Bazza...

They were winning 4M plus...off the rails...

Who would have thunk with the rail being out so far out as well??

All of that sand down by the rail must have been like quick sand...not quick at all

what a dichotomy

If only they'd taken readings across the width, jocks would have known before the meeting...to get off the damn slow rail...

...oops, Punters would have known it wasn't a leaders bias on the rail more importantly

All that new sand slitting created weird inconsistencies...

And to prove how correct Dillon is when he says he wants the EXACT reading for an all encompassing H11 track

This years Trentham meeting was 12L slower than last years...both H11's

wtf is the problem with giving Punters an ACCURATE guide...

..rather than having to look at times and work it out yourself

ffs...it's just too easy to make fools of these suits who refuse to see the bleedin' obvious

So Whangers again today...racing on the rail

Mmmm...is the rail the place to be today after racing on the fast strip 6M out last week?

H10 to 4.5 M....is the 6M strip S9 though....and the outer rail...where they usually race on an H10 ...actually a S8 and faster??

And wide barriers the go??

Wtf would know if they're only giving us readings to the 4.5M mark??

And why would a NZ punter invest their hard earned on a 'lottery' situation with NZTR refusing to be transparent?

Great info yesterday...I requested Sweenz interview the Trackman and a Jockey..

The Trackman said he'd rolled the inner 6M after the debacle at the previous meeting...This had the effect of the inside drying out through the day where the last 2 races the rail wasn't a bad place to be

Lisa used her stick in the morning and said the Rail was decidedly deeper...

Great...this is the type of info Punters need at 7.30...not just before the first ffs

Failing that...just get the trackmen to give us the entire home straight readings...how simple is it??

They say they want more Punters investing...yet hide vital information...

  • 2 weeks later...

So yet again the 'experts' like Tan...said

"Tauranga...rail fresh ground...go there"

Until the last race...winners were 3 widths off and wider..the whole day

#justgivepuntersthereadings

thanks..and we'll make up our own minds...

...not what the 'experts' tell us

  • 4 weeks later...

And the Te Aroha rail is as deep as the Wangas rail

So they all come to the outside...nearly hurdling the Steeple fences

...do the suits give us the outside reading to give Punters an accurate track rating??

Dont be stupid...they keep to the script

"all readings shall remain at 1.5M, 3 and 4.5M...even though no horse will race there...just suck it up Punters"

f them

So another Trentham H11 today...

What's the difference today between 2 supposedly same rating tracks??

50L again??....and NZTR wonder why NZ Punters have buggered off...

Its about accuracy and whether the rails off off like it is at Wanganui or it's on at Te Rapa

Just give Punters the pen. Readings and let us decide...we fund the difference between running for ribbons and dish ffs...

thanks Bernie

So yesterday we had the ridiculous situation of an H 11 delivery

Whats a punter to think...is it H 15 and on the improve to H 14??

Oh no no

Upgraded to H10 after the first...

A massive difference between the two of 50L

And Punters here are forced to suck it up

No wonder they've buggered off to sports betting

Do horse people actually still use " form "  and pentrometers when trying to select winners ?  " No wonder the masses have buggered off to sports betting "

I'm sure we'll get penetrometer readings across every metre of AMI stadium on Saturday before we have a bet. And given both teams are last start winners that should make it pretty straight forward.

I'm hoping there will also be a declaration shortly of what headgear each of the players will be wearing, and what drugs they had during training in the last week.
