Oasis Dream’s Polydream Back On Track In Paris

Putting behind her a first disappointing effort when last of 14 in the G1 Poule d’Essai des Pouliches, the Wertheimers’ Polydream (Ire) (Oasis Dream {GB}) dished out a ready beating to the Godolphin pair Inns of Court (Ire) (Invincible Spirit {Ire}) and Jimmy Two Times (Fr) (Kendargent {Fr}) in Saturday’s G3 Prix du Palais-Royal at ParisLongchamp. Sent off at 9-2, the G3 Prix du Calvados winner and G1 Prix Marcel Boussac runner-up raced on the rail in mid-pack early and when committed by Maxime Guyon passing the two-furlong pole quickly had the measure of Inns of Court to her inside. At the line, the bay had 1 1/4 lengths to spare over that rival, who was in turn a neck ahead of Jimmy Two Times in third.

Introduced over six furlongs at Deauville in July, Polydream made light work of that affair before beating Laurens (Fr) (Siyouni {Fr}) in the G3 Prix du Calvados over this seven-furlong trip back there in August. Beaten only by Wild Illusion (GB) (Dubawi {Ire}) in the Prix Marcel Boussac at Chantilly on Arc day, she found the Pouliches coming too soon and despite beating no rivals was only beaten around six lengths.

Polydream is a daughter of the Listed Prix d’Angerville and GIII Monrovia H. runner-up Polygreen, who is also responsible for the MSW Evaporation (Fr) (Red Ransom) who placed in the G2 Prix Daniel Wildenstein and G2 Prix de Sandringham. Polygreen’s yearling filly by Invincible Spirit (Ire) was knocked down to Meridian International and David Redvers Bloodstock at Arqana August for €400,000.
