Racing fans will have the opportunity to own a 5% share in three new horses to be trained by Mark Johnston, as the Mark Johnston Racing Raffle was launched on Monday. Tickets cost just £2 and 20% of every sale goes to Racing Welfare. Racing Lotto is running the contest, with a share in the trainer’s Kingsley Park 20 Partnership up for grabs. The yearlings will be sourced from the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale. All costs association with the ownership are covered as part of the unique prize, which will last as long as the horses remain in training with Johnston.

“Racing needs enthusiasm in ownership more than ever and the Racehorse Lotto’s most recent raffle opportunity is excellent, not least with 20% of every ticket sale going to Racing Welfare,” said Johnston. “I can’t guarantee the raffle winner will have 5% of the next Frankel (GB), but we’ll do our very best to secure three nice types at the October sales. I then look forward to welcoming the lucky winner up here to see them train and maybe celebrating in the winners’ enclosure too.”
