Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted August 22, 2020 Journalists Share Posted August 22, 2020 HALLADAY (c, 4, War Front–Hightap, by Tapit), a last-out fourth in the GII Bernard Baruch H. after a somewhat surprisingly timid ride, used his speed to maximum effect Saturday to post a minor upset in the GI Fourstardave H. The 5-1 show seized a clear early lead under Luis Saez and enjoyed better than a length of daylight as he led the talented field on a merry chase. Defending champion Got Stormy (Get Stormy) took a serious run at him in midstretch as Halladay appeared leg weary, but the frontrunner found more when it mattered to report home a length to the good in 1:33.32. Casa Creed (Jimmy Creed) filled out the trifecta, with trainer Chad Brown’s imposing foursome striking out and failing to hit the super. Sales history: $225,000 RNA ylg ’17 KEESEP.
