Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted August 22, 2020 Journalists Share Posted August 22, 2020 HARVEST MOON (f, 3, Uncle Mo–Qaraaba {GB}, by Shamardal) justified 3-2 favoritism Saturday while remaining perfect on the dirt in Del Mar’s GIII Torrey Pines S. Third in her turf unveiling at Santa Anita June 12, the bay broke through at Los Alamitos July 3 and was coming off a convincing track-and-trip tally July 27. Settling into a midpack spot early, Harvest Moon uncorked a head-turning three-wide run into the lane and eventually wore down stubborn pacesetter Secret Keeper (Into Mischief) to notch a 1 1/4-length decision. The winning time was 1:36.87. The winning connections sent out Harvest Moon’s dam to a victory in the GIII Robert J. Frankel S. in 2012. Lifetime Record: 4-3-0-1. O-Alice Bamford & Michael B. Tabor. B-Alice Bamford (Ky). T-Simon Callaghan.
