Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted September 5, 2020 Journalists Share Posted September 5, 2020 Dismissed at odds of 24-1 off a visually impressive, but modestly rated 4 1/4-length debut victory at Ellis Park, Albaugh Family Stables’ SITTIN ON GO (c, 2, Brody’s Cause-Set’n On Ready, by More Than Ready) took advantage of a hot and contested pace up ahead of him and roared home to record a three-length victory in the GIII Iroquois S. at Churchill Downs, a ‘Win and You’re In’ qualifier for the GI Breeders’ Cup Juvenile at Keeneland in two months’ time. Favored ‘TDN Rising Star’ Therideofalifetime (Candy Ride {Arg}) set the pace and weakened to be fourth. It was the fourth Iroquois in the last eight years for trainer Dale Romans, who saddled Not This Time (Giant’s Causeway) and Dennis’ Moment (Tiznow) to win the race in 2015 and 2019, respectively. Romans sent out Albaughs’ Girl Daddy (Uncle Mo) to win Thursday’s GIII Pocahontas S. at Churchill. Sittin On Go is the first stakes winner for his freshman sire (by Giant’s Causeway). Sales history: $65,000 Wlg ’18 KEENOV. O-Albaugh Family Stables LLC; B-Wynnstay LLC (KY); T-Dale Romans.
