Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted September 13, 2020 Journalists Share Posted September 13, 2020 Following a series of creditable defeats, Sarah Kelly’s G1 Irish Oaks and G1 Pretty Polly S. runner-up Cayenne Pepper (Ire) (Australia {GB}) was able to gain the pattern-race success she so deserved at The Curragh on Sunday. Sent off the 3-1 second favourite for the 10-furlong G2 Moyglare “Jewels” Blandford S., the chestnut sat second behind Amma Grace (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}) before being sent past two out by Shane Foley. At the line, there was a four-length margin back to that 50-1 outsider, with Thundering Nights (Ire) (Night of Thunder {Ire}) 1 1/2 lengths away in third in a race where it paid to be on or near the lead.
