Felix, who trained horses in South Florida and Detroit Race Course in Michigan, died Wednesday at the age of 80 in Miami. A multiple stakes-winning trainer, Felix retired from training in 1987 to become the racing manager for Team Canonie Stable, which won 40 races in seven years in the early 2000s.
