Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted September 26, 2020 Journalists Share Posted September 26, 2020 The long odds-on favorite for the third time in as many career starts, ‘TDN Rising Star’ PRINCESS NOOR (f, 2, Not This Time–Sheza Smoke Show, by Wilko) overcame a few anxious early moments to wallop her competition by the better part of eight lengths in Saturday’s GII Chandelier S., a ‘Win and You’re In’ qualifier for the GI Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies at Keeneland Nov. 6. Not the quickest away beneath Victor Espinoza, Princess Noor rode the rail into the first turn, but was no better than third, as her stablemate Illumination (Medaglia d’Oro) and Miss Costa Rica (Hit It a Bomb) eyeballed each other up front. Princess Noor did not appear completely at ease being stuck down inside, but she jumped into the bridle when taken out into the three path, quickly making progress to sit second into the final turn. She easily claimed the front-runner with about five-sixteenths of a mile to race and was not asked for her best in strolling through the final 100 yards. A debut winner at Del Mar Aug. 22, Princess Noor was stretching out to a route of ground off a 6 1/2-length success in the GI Del Mar Debutante Sept. 6.
