Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted June 7, 2018 Journalists Share Posted June 7, 2018 LA SIGNARE (Fr) (f, 3, Siyouni {Fr}–La Teranga {Fr}, by Beat Hollow {GB}) sprung a narrow upset over heavily favored Significant Form (Creative Cause) in Thursday’s GIII Wonder Again S. at Belmont, the local prep for next month’s GI Belmont Oaks. Allowed to walk the dog on the front end through leisurely opening splits, the 6-1 shot was confronted by the chalk at the 3/8-pole and was briefly headed, but La Signare clawed her way back to win by 3/4 of a length in 1:48.84. Graduating at second asking in France Nov. 4 for D. Guillemin, La Signare was privately purchased and transferred to Brian Lynch, finishing second in her American debut at Keeneland Apr. 11. Lifetime Record: 4-2-1-0. O-Madaket Stables & Tim Cambron; B-Moussa Mbacke (Fr); T-Brian Lynch. View the full article
