Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted September 27, 2020 Journalists Share Posted September 27, 2020 Lightly raced sophomore HARVEST MOON (f, 3, Uncle Mo–Qaraaba {GB}, by Shamardal) bested her elders and stamped her ticket to the GI Breeders’ Cup Distaff while staying unbeaten in the GII Zenyatta S. at Santa Anita. A last-out winner of the GIII Torrey Pines S. over a flat mile at Del Mar, the bay tracked heavy favorite Fighting Mad (New Year’s Day) in the early stages before turning up the head on that one heading for home. She took over fairly easily entering the stretch, and edged clear to post the 3/4-length victory from an oncoming Hard Not to Love (Hard Spun). Fighting Mad settled for third. The winner stopped the clock in 1:43.03 in the “Win and You’re In” event. Lifetime Record: 5-4-0-1. O-Alice Bamford & Michael B Tabor. B-Alice Bamford (Ky). T-Simon Callaghan.
