Covered up early by Pierre-Charles Boudot as Godolphin’s 2-1 favourite Earthlight (Ire) (Shamardal) established himself on the lead after the first two furlongs, the 10-3 shot was launched a furlong out to reel him in in the last 50 metres for a short-neck success, with Safe Voyage (Ire) (Fast Company {Ire}) a short head behind in third.
