SECOND OF JULY (g, 2, Jack Milton–Wichita, by Curlin) belied 68-1 odds when unveiled here Sept. 20, and fooled the bettors once again in Sunday’s GIII Futurity S. while earning an automatic spot in the starting gate for the GII Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint. The 15-1 shot sat towards the back of the pack early, was bottled up in traffic at the top of the lane but got out in midstretch to kick on a half-length to the good of After Five (The Factor). ‘TDN Rising Star’ Momos (Distorted Humor) held for third after setting the pace. The winner stopped the clock in 1:09.33. Lifetime Record: 2-2-0-0.
