Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted June 11, 2018 Journalists Share Posted June 11, 2018 Terry Bailey, chief steward for Racing Victoria, has resigned and will take up a new position as Chairman of Stewards at the Singapore Turf Club, reported Racenet.co.au on Monday. Bailey, who has served for over a decade in the role, will end his tenure at Racing Victoria on July 11. “Terry has given tremendous service to Racing Victoria for more than a decade and he has our support and best wishes, as he embarks on the exciting next chapter of his career abroad,” said RV Chief Executive Giles Thompson in a statement. “I want to thank him on behalf of all participants and stakeholders in Victorian racing for his dedication and commitment over many years.” Following on the heels of Bailey’s resignation came the announcement that Peter Chadwick, who served as the chief steward in Singapore for many years, was taking up an identical position for the Queensland Racing Integrity Commission. Chadwick, who replaces Allan Reardon, begins his new role in August. “We are fortunate to have attracted to Queensland a chief steward with a breadth of knowledge of the world of racing and his international experience is a bonus,” said QRIC Commissioner Ross Barnett in a statement. “Mr. Chadwick brings years of experience to the Commission and he will be a great contributor as we work to ensure the integrity standards of racing in this state are upheld.” View the full article Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
