The United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York has filed a superseding indictment in the case against Jorge Navarro, Jason Servis and others involving the alleged use of performance-enhancing drugs and, for Servis and veterinarians Alexander Chan and Kristian Rhein, it includes the additional charge of Mail and Wire Fraud Conspiracy. The maximum sentence for federal charges of mail and wire fraud conspiracy is 20 years.

In addition, the names of five individuals named in the original indictment were not included n the superseding indictment. They are Gregory Skelton, Ross Cohen, Nick Surick, Chris Marino and Servis’s former assistant Henry Argueta. That will no doubt lead to speculation that the five are cooperating with authorities.

No new names surfaced in the superseding indictment.

The superseding indictment takes place of the original indictment, filed Monday, March 9.

This story will be updated.
