Overwhelming 1-9 favorite Nashville (2, Speightstown-Veronique, by Mizzen Mast) made short work of his rivals in the Perryville S. at Keeneland to kick off the Breeders’ Cup Saturday card. To the front early, the TDN Rising Star carved out sparkling splits of :21.54, and :43.87, and was not for catching in the stretch. The $460,000 KEESEP finished a cruising five lengths ahead of Wild Wes (Race Day) with Little Menace (Into Mischief) back in third. Final time for the six-furlong test was 1:07.89, a Keeneland track record. Lifetime Record: 3-3-0-0, $157,200.
