Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted December 26, 2020 Journalists Share Posted December 26, 2020 Klaravich Stables’ Duopoly (f, 3, Animal Kingdom–Justaroundmidnight {Ire}, by Danehill Dancer {Ire}) went wire-to-wire to score an authoritative victory in the GI American Oaks at Santa Anita Saturday. The chestnut filly, sent off at 6-1, loped along on the front end through fractions of :24.91, :49.67 and 1:14.89. Favored Sharing (Speightstown) tracked the pacesetter from the start while under a snug hold. She moved to challenge the leader approaching the stretch, with Going to Vegas (Goldencents) making a bid just to her outside, but neither could match the winner who strode home much the best. Going to Vegas was second and Sharing just held on for third. The time for the 1 1/4 miles was 2:01.61. Duopoly, a maiden winner over the Monmouth lawn in July, added a Saratoga turf allowance Aug. 21 before finishing fifth in the Oct. 16 GIII Valley View S. at Keeneland. She returned to the winner’s circle with a front-running score in the Nov. 15 Winter Memories S. at Aqueduct last time out. Lifetime Record: 6-4-0-0. O-Klaravich Stables. B-Jamm Ltd (Ky).
