Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted January 18, 2021 Journalists Share Posted January 18, 2021 Thirty free nominations are being offered to the 2017 G2 Richmond S. winner Barraquero (Ire) (Zebedee {GB}), who stands at Padraig and Paul Moroney’s Claremount Stud in Ireland. Now six, the Manton Thoroughbreds-owned Barraquero retired to stud last year at a fee of €4,000 and his advertised fee for 2021 is €2,500. “On behalf of the owners, we are offering 30 nominations to Barraquero free of charge,” said Sam Sangster, who bought Barraquero as a yearling for £30,000 and sent him into training with Brian Meehan at Manton. “In the event the resultant foal or yearling realises over €10,000 we would charge a fee of 15% of the sale price. The impressive G2 Richmond S. winner continues to be well supported by his owners as well as outside mares.
