Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted January 23, 2021 Journalists Share Posted January 23, 2021 The Korean Racing Authority's KNICKS GO (h, 5, Paynter–Kosmo's Buddy, by Outflanker) remained perfect in four starts since joining the barn of Eclipse Award finalist Brad Cox, running 11 rivals off their feet to annex Saturday's $3-million GI Pegasus World Cup Invitational at Gulfstream Park. Blue-collar Jesus' Team (Tapiture) outgamed Independence Hall (Constitution) for place honors. Kicked straight into the lead by Joel Rosario, the Maryland-bred was forced to a bit of work early, as he was hounded along by Last Judgement (Congrats) through fractions of :22.90 for the quarter and :46.16 for the opening half-mile. Going supremely well and in hand at the entrance to the turn, Knicks Go began to get away under his own courage, was shaken up off the final corner and stayed on to score by about three lengths. Winner of the GI Claiborne Breeders' Futurity at two while under the care of Ben Colebrook, Knicks Go was reborn in 2020, winning his three races by a combined 21 1/4 lengths, capped by a 3 1/2-length defeat of Jesus' Team in the GI Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile Nov. 7. Following the race, Jun Park, representing the KRA, confirmed that Knicks Go remains in training for 2021. O-Korea Racing Authority; B-Angie Moore (MD); T-Brad Cox.
