Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted January 30, 2021 Journalists Share Posted January 30, 2021 Shadwell homebred Zaajel (f, 3, Street Sense–Asiya, by Daaher) got the job done as the heavy favorite in her first try against winners in Gulfstream's GIII Forward Gal S. Saturday. A 7 1/4-length track-and-trip romper on debut Dec. 20, the 3-5 chalk wasn't off particularly well but crept closer while out wide down the backside. She asserted herself heading for home, briefly looked like she might face a challenge midstretch but shook off one longshot before holding safe a late bid from Lady Traveler (Quality Road) by 1 1/4 lengths in 1:24.72. Lifetime Record: 2-2-0-0. O/B-Shadwell Stable (Ky). T-Todd A Pletcher.
