Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted February 10, 2021 Journalists Share Posted February 10, 2021 On the strength of three victories in state-bred stakes company, Redatory (Oratory) has been named Texas Horse of the Year for 2020. The 6-year-old gelding was nearly unstoppable in Texas-bred company last term, winning the Houston Turf S. at Sam Houston and the Richard King Turf S. and Texas Hall of Fame S. at Lone Star Park, successfully defending his title in the last two named races. He fell a neck short of winning the Assault S. for the second year running last July. Other divisional champions included: 2YO Filly–Con Lima (Commissioner); 2YO Colt/Gelding–Hulen (Tapiture); 3YO Filly Boerne (Fed Biz); 3YO Colt/Gelding–Gold Pilot (My Golden Song); Older Filly/Mare–Ima Discreet Lady (Discreet Cat); Co-Champion Older Horse–Redatory and Sunlit Song (My Golden Song); Champion Broodmare–My Silver Song (My Golden Song).
