Impressive last start winner Comme Bella Fille will join the Sydney stable of John O’Shea following her purchase by Australian syndicators OTI on the recommendation of bloodstock agent Phill Cataldo.

Prepared by Cambridge trainer Catherine Cameron, the daughter of Complacent has had three starts for a win and a placing, including a last-to-first performance when winning over 1400m at Matamata earlier in the month.

Comme Bella Fille will join O’Shea’s Randwick stables in March and continue her three-year-old preparation with the Gr.1 Queensland Oaks (2400m) as her main target.

OTI’s General Manager, Shayne Driscoll, said the filly embodies everything they look for in a ready-to-race acquisition and is an exciting opportunity with stakes potential.

“Our niche is sourcing proven, ready to run bloodstock, and this filly exemplifies this. She has impressive New Zealand form, an attractive pedigree and is primed to race as soon as she touches down in Australia,” Driscoll said.

“Once she arrives, we expect her to compete in feature three-year-old races in Sydney and Brisbane over the autumn. All going well, she will work towards the Queensland Oaks as her grand final.”

Bred by Mapperley Stud’s Simms Davison, Comme Bella Fille is a graduate of the New Zealand Bloodstock Ready To Run Sale.
