Frankel Filly Gets Black-Type Win at La Teste de Buch

   Frankel Light bettered a May 8 debut runner-up finish tackling one mile at Saint-Cloud when graduating over the same trip at Fontainebleau last time May 30, and duly obliged in this black-type bow. Recovering from a sluggish exit to enjoy a soft lead until turning for home, she was shaken up when threatened approaching the quarter-mile marker and kept on resolutely under continued urging thereafter to register a career high in game fashion.
   Frankel Light is one of four winners and the leading performer produced by MGSP dual German stakes winner Mambo Light (Kingmambo), herself a daughter of G1 Prix Marcel Boussac second Piquetnol (Private Account), and she is a half-sister to Listed Grand Prix du Nord and Listed Prix Jacques Laffitte third Le Juge (Ire) (Dansili {GB}), the 2-year-old colt Fearless Warrior (Fr) (Sea the Stars {Ire}) and a yearling filly by Siyouni (Fr).
